Medical Assistant
Robbinsdale Clinic, PA in Minneapolis, MN is a Family Medicine and Abortion Care Clinic that has been providing Community healthcare services for over 60 years. We offer a small, intimate healthcare setting where adequate time and attention is afforded to each patient, creating an atmosphere that is appreciated by our patients and staff.
Job Description: Enjoy a wide variety of responsibilities while directly working with patients both in person and on the phone. Our patient population is diverse, and working with various populations provides excellent experience and enrichment to our staff, while making a positive impact on each patient’s situation.
Immediate opening but flexible, FT preferred and position is Temporary for 6-8 months.
Responsibilities:
- Create a nonjudgmental atmosphere that supports each person’s needs.
- Obtain pertinent Health History and vitals.
- Perform laboratory tests and administer injections.
- Educate patients on abortion procedures and aftercare and provide contraceptive information as desired by patients.
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Assist Provider during procedures.
- Process instruments, maintain logs and enter statistics for various organizations.
- Perform Ultrasounds (will train).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certificate or comparable training/experience.
- Exhibit a nonjudgmental approach to a wide variety of patients.
- Ability to work well with other staff and be receptive to direction.
- Understand and observe a professional code of ethics, including data privacy and confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail being essential.
Compensation/Benefits:

Patient Advocate

- Good computer skills and efficient time management.
- Understand and observe a professional code of ethics, including data privacy and confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail being essential.
